One such factor is keeping their feet in the stirrups, which hang on each side of the saddle to receive the rider’s feet.
During competition, time spent putting a foot back into a stirrup can be the difference between winning and losing.
To combat this, some riders use up Rodeo Bands. These 10” bands are tied into a figure eight to hold the feet in the stirrups for barrel racing.
